I'm Camille Ash and a Journalism senior. I'm graduating in May but still have to take summer school to complete my degree. I decided to take a May intercession class abroad. It's a journalism class focusing on British media (BBC, Bloomberg, Sky news). I have recently been thinking about getting my masters in graphic design. I used to work at Louie's Bar and Grill as a bartender for four years and recently retired :) I enjoy traveling, cooking, shopping, playing with my chihuahua Atticus, tattoos, and reality television. To be honest I took this course because I needed a lower division elective, but it sounded interesting and important to take.
Five questions I have for this course are:
1) Why do women make 75 cents to every dollar a man makes?
2) Why is the "ideal" image for a woman blonde, busty, and tan?
3) Why were women oppressed for so long?
4) Who were some of the women who changed history for women?
5) What is the role of women in other cultures?
